Traditionally the Bridal Trousseau was a selection of fine fabrics given to a Bride for her to make into gowns and fancy dresses following her Wedding.
Over the years the idea of the Bridal Trousseau has changed and the more modern idea of a Trousseau now involves a selection of special garments, usually lingerie and nightwear, for a Bride to wear on her Wedding Night and Honeymoon.
A Bridal Trousseau can incorporate any item that a Bride desires, but generally includes; a special item of nightwear for the Wedding night and Honeymoon, a sexy item such as a basque, pretty underwear and a selection of stockings or hold ups to accompany the Trousseau garments.
